Description
Benefits of mesotherapy
- It increases cellular activity and the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid.
- Improves firmness, brightness, and hydration.
- Reduces wrinkles if the treatment is repeated frequently.
What substance is used and why? Minimally cross-linked hyaluronic acid or a combination of micronutrients such as vitamins, amino acids, peptides and minerals are used. Hyaluronic acid attracts a significant amount of water to its surroundings and stimulates the formation of collagen and elastin. Additionally, it has a great antioxidant power, blocking free radicals. It is a substance that is naturally present in all living beings, occupying the spaces between the cells of tissues. In the skin, we have about 56% of the concentration of hyaluronic acid present in our bodies. As we age, the amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases, as does its molecular weight, so it no longer retains water as it did before. Therefore, in young people, when we pinch the skin, it immediately returns to its original position, while in older people this recovery is slower, thus wrinkles appear. What does the treatment consist of? Mesotherapy can be applied to the face, neck, décolleté and back of the hands. The number of sessions depends on the degree of skin aging, although generally 4 sessions are performed every 2-4 weeks and then a maintenance session every 6 months.
- A numbing cream is applied for 30 minutes.
- Hyaluronic acid is injected into the superficial dermis of the area to be treated using a microinjection technique.
- Finally, a massage is performed in the treated area.
The patient can apply make-up and return to his or her normal daily routine.
